Love Ben’s add on to Griffin’s pitch, but here’s another spin on it. Building off their idea for getting TLJ back involved as a civilian, what if it’s a revenge movie where some alien is basically Kahn to K’s Kirk. The MIB finds out that this evil alien has made it to earth and figure out that he’s coming for K, with the alien presumably not realizing that k is memory wiped. So will smith has to go protect him. K doesn’t believe in aliens and is a happy mailman so this creates various issues for J in his protection efforts. End of second act has the alien capture K, but in a twist it turns out the alien knew somehow about K’s memory wipe. The villain is the one with the de-neurolizer, which he plans to use to access K’s memory and find what K had done with his super weapon during their last encounter. With the super weapon he’ll be able to destroy the earth and force K to watch as his ultimate revenge. Will smith shows up, frees K, and together they take down the villain. J is faced with whether to neuralize K. Same dynamic of J missing K as in griffin’s pitch. J leaves the choice to K, and K says that he was only ever happy the last few years at a mailman, but at the same time values the memory of their friendship. J lets K go back to his life as a mailman with all of his memories in tact and K says something like “but if you ever need me, you know where to find me.”

Ben doing punch-up on Griffin's MiB2 pitch "he should be a small town cop" is genuinely one of my favourite moments on the entire Patreon, live for that kind of shit

Emily Collier

finally some colleen haskell talk

Susan Hill

Guys, Empire Diner didn’t close! Go get yourselves some rye pancakes!

Bill

*entering conference room* “The numbers are in and everyone loved the LITTLE cricket. I need 10 ideas on my desk by end of day, and yes, no idea is too small”

Sarah Farrell

He was so winning in Reboot!!! Came here to say the exact same thing.

Rad Rodge

Genuinely a very satisfying nostalgia moment for me when David busted out a Chiwetel Ejiofor "the bill comes due" less than 3 minutes into the ep, a line that is fixed in my mind forever exclusively because of BC:SF

Halikaarn

I think it is as bad as they say. Literally no scenes were entertaining or fun or cool. And it didn't make any sense. The tubes part was... fine. Everything else is bad / cringe. I can't believe how trashy all of the effects look!

Ray Goldberg

I wish I was able to like Rosario Dawson. Even though the Dedrek Finley case was dropped, that shit was too suspicious to make me comfortable with her.

Zachary Marriott

Definitely not as bad as they’re saying. It’s more of a kids movie than the first.

Kalle Färm

I know you all wanted my hot take and it's thus: Rosario is cute as a button in that haircut.

John

I'm listening to this and, by comparison, their ranting is making me regret and cringe at past me ranting about GHOSTBUSTERS II. Guys, calm down-- yes, this is just my opinion, but the first one isn't that awesome and the second one isn't that bad!

Nicholas Ouchie

This movie is not nearly as bad as they say! It’s not great for sure, it definitely feels neutered and more kid like than the first one. In a vacuum this is a fine movie, compared to MIB, it’s a disappointment. I also had this dvd and not the first movie so I definitely have slightly rosé colored glasses for it

Rory Edwardson

Reboot is the absolute best deployment I've seen of Johnny Knoxville's specific energy (outside of Jackass)

outb0undflight

I don't think this one is as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but I also don't think the first one is as good as everyone makes it out to be, so maybe this is just as a 'Me' problem.

Joe Z

For that period in time and to stick to the NY vibe, I’d say a Smith/Buscemi combo would have been a great and different option.

William Evans

No

CT

Dissapointing? Yes, of course. An absolute trainwreck super disaster F minus ya’ll seem to it regard as? It’s fine! It’s fun! It’s a weird scifi movie doing some weird scifi fun! Get over it!

William Evans

Men in Black: one of the best movies of all time Men in Black 2: one of the worst movies of all time Men in Black 3: it’s fine

Adam Humar

I think it should've been The Rock as J's partner, remembering this is The Rundown era Rock

Joe Miller

I really like him in Grand Theft Parsons too and I was an old man.

Jared Hemming

Yeah I actually like this movie. I was 8 when it came out, the perfect age to put up with all its sequelitis. Men In Black II is a kids movie.

Ian Smart

I’m ready to be disappointed in their responses, but I really dig this movie. It’s not as good as the first but I like it a whole lot more than the next 2 (absolutely abysmal).

Zef Wagner

My mind is blown learning about the whole part cut out due to 9/11!

mail daddy

As a mail carrier I can confirm that the post office stuff is actually true.

Mike Ostrov

These all came out when I was a teenager and almost any independent movie convinced me it was profound art, but I remember Knoxville giving excellent performances in the smaller Grand Theft Parsons (alongside Big Chicago) and Daltry Calhoun. He's also probably the best part of a very disappointing A Dirty Shame, which was my first John Waters movie, even though I knew him by reputation and Simpsons guesting. I also think he's good in the larger budget Walking Tall and Big Trouble. So I guess he just worked for me during that 3-year span, which seemed so much longer.

Joey Joe Joe Shabadoo

I was a huge Men in Black fan when I was younger. I watched the first one maybe 100 times. I watched the animated show a lot. I read extended universe novelizations. I was so excited for this movie and starved for MIB content.…. I hated this movie and only watched it once.

Daniel A. Barron

This desperately needed a scene of J fishing with dynamite.

Callum Taylor

Why is everything in this movie small? Little rocket, tiny world in the globe Kay touches, tiny world in the locker, Johnny Knoxville's tiny head, little dog, tiny little Jarras, and another McGuffin that's jewellery? Everything but the big CGI worm.

Joshua Ochoa

Ya’ll saying what is Will Smith doing acting against a dog is I Am Legend erasure
