It’s MORTAL KOMBAT vs. CARS.
With MORTAL KOMBAT, we’d cover 3 films:
- Mortal Kombat (1995)
- Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)
- Mortal Kombat (2021)
With CARS, we’d also cover 3 films:
- Cars (2006)
- Cars 2 (2011)
- Cars 3 (2017)
Mortal Kombat may be technically more violent, but Cars may be more upsetting when you stop to think about it. Like, there’s a WWII vet Jeep in Cars 3 which begs the question - did WWII happen in the Cars universe? Was there a Car Hitler? Was he an evil little Volkswagen with a mustache? Are we prepared to go down that rabbit hole?

I've only seen the first Cars. It was fine. Side note, on my event planning committee at work we have a tiered membership club the top tier is Lightning McQueen one step down is Tow Mater. But i wasn't about to vote for Cars.

I do like the Cars theory that posits the Cars are part of the Pixar extended universe in the post Carspolalypse and behind the opaque tinted windows sit the seatbelted desiccated corpses of humans.
