Oooooh, if the superhero series happens, maybe you also include Up Up And Away. My boy Robert Townsend taking another bite at the superhero apple for Disney.

Love a good Ceefax reference!

Weird to me to hear that demographics for the listeners leans so male. This is one of the most “female friendly” movie podcasts I’ve listened to.
Seán Óg Murphy
I wonder does David remember Digitiser, the surreal video games magazine on Channel 4 teletext - https://www.superpage58.com/what-is-digitiser-guide-to-teletext-phenomenon.htm
Garry L
Fun fact: when I worked for the Met Office (British Weather Service) I was stationed in Germany for a time and one of my jobs was to update the Ceefax pages that listed the snow conditions at various ski resorts around Europe for the military personnel stationed there. It was incredibly convoluted and counter intuitive to update even the simplest piece of text.

I liked Streisand! Didnt love Buster, but I also didn’t drag you guys about it either. It’s important cinematic history, relevant to the theme of a blank check, and I know Griffin truly loves the stuff. God, people on the internet are just absolute crumb bums
Kate
Seconded!
Kate
It makes me so sad to hear that people were giving you shit about the Streisand miniseries — it was one of my favorites! I had only heard of Yentl as a butt of a joke and watched it for the podcast and now it’s one of my favorite movies! Anyway, hope you feel that there’s a lot of people who enjoy all the work you all are doing ❤️
Chris Fyvie
Voted Pakula. Would love to see it.
Janine Liberty
It's perhaps the purest example of David trying to keep things on track and moving swiftly along and then, himself, getting completely sidetracked on a 10-minute tangent. The best.
Brian Blake
True. But it's also telling, imo, how those projects he didn't direct are largely superior and more enduring.

If someone wanted to pay for shipping, could one acquire a Chip Coin…
Omeed
I never had that one!
Douglas Wykstra
The thing is, Late Night Snack was even better! I don't know who came up with the idea of "chocolate-covered potato chip pieces" as an ice cream topping, but they are an evil genius and must create at least 10 more ice creams.
Joanna Patterson
What if there was a girl Blankie? We’re out here! 💖🙌
Douglas Wykstra
The problem with a Judd Apatow producer-only series is that he's touched roughly 85% of comedy that came out from 1990-2015. That'll happen when your career goes from writing for Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey to writing for Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen.
Douglas Wykstra
What! Those people need to get a life. Or better yet, take their money: Superdelegate Patreon Tier. $1000/month, you register your IP address, you get to vote 100 times on each match. I would give up some of my voting power if I knew people were being soaked at $10/vote for it.
Terry Toner
In Ireland we had Aertel for Irish channels and Ceefax for UK import channels. It's how I first read that Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson were gonna be in old school
Begemott
I always love these March Madness episodes, really captures the spirit of the season.

It’s ok to to be a huge fan of Boomer art.
Janine Liberty
Marie saying "What?" about the Queen's two birthdays over and over again is pretty much my whole personality.
Blank Check with Griffin & David
one or two duplicate votes aren't gonna move the needle, don't worry! but people have been voting HUNDREDS of times.
Blank Check with Griffin & David
as you should
Chase Janak
I never thought I'd be so anxiously awaiting an episode on the worst Terminator movie.
Omeed
Tonight Dough is so good and I hate myself every time I get it
Abe Something
At least one more, eh?
Matthew O'Reilly
🎵 976-1234, it’s the lotto line 🎵
Matthew Park
I’ll be putting my Chip Coin into the frame for the poster I bought.
Rad Rodge
(I’m not sure of the wisdom of putting this kind of a lock onto a bracket in the first place, I had a similar feeling about Kubrick that year, making this bracket seems like just making a schedule announcement. If it’s helped inspire the fellas to commit to Curtis Hanson too, though, that IS pretty cool)
Tom Lowery
In bathroom parlance, “Dune 2” means taking a poo.
KS
Female Blankie who appeared in a Harold Ramis movie here – extremely bummed to watch him get mowed down today! I hope he’s still in consideration for the future 🤞
ElectricGayhem
Yes! I would be so excited to hear a Curtis Hanson series, but never thought it could happen. <3
Cory McCasland
Except that this old millennial is a huge Lynch fan, and the co-host who’s a fan is younger than me. So maybe think out your lazy insults a bit better.
Patrick Gorman
More Bardi! Laugh every time she is on the pod.
Bairbre
Thank you #thefourfriends for always brightening my day 💜
Christopher Kennedy
This episode is hilarious. I laughed so much at the bits. Please do another one before the last one.
Aaron Summers
Hancock, muthafuckas, and please devote 90% of the episode to the original screenplay.
Rad Rodge
Embarrassed to say the accidental ballot stuffing has absolutely happened to me as well, I need to stop going to the ballot via Instagram, I think that's the solution
Rad Rodge
My read on Blankie demographics is still that Lynch was guaranteed to win as soon as he was put on any bracket that didn't already have Kubrick on it, so I do wish to strenuously urge management to deeply consider the eventual runner-up as well
Ben_Grimm_13
Dark Crystal, dark horse
Douglas “Scoop” Reinhardt
I am a fan of his work, but Wes Craven’s career at times, a lot like the Sideshow Bob steps on a rake bit
Aaron Summers
OM FUCKING G! Marie, I LOVED that deep cut!
Chas
As a fellow female BC listener—yes! 🥂
Betty
Every sports fan in the country knew 900-976-1313 because they had this awesome jingle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_HpM5eqZuA
Karly Quadros
As a rare female Blank Check listener, I think my votes for a Frank Oz miniseries should be proportionately weighted for equity
Brian Blake
Yet the other option lets you pick from funny Adam McKay, The Cable Guy, Bridesmaids, Begin Again, Wanderlust, Pee Wee's Big Holiday, Popstar, The Big Sick, Bros. All in addition to the two rewatch classics you named.
Cahtah
I know it won’t happen but a Wes Craven series would be the perfect excuse to rewatch every Scream movie (again)
Elliot Cowan
In Australia we get the Queens Birthday off. Even though it's not her bithday.
Anthony Pierre Coco
"What do they call shoes there?" off to the races
Anthony Pierre Coco
I'd actually disagree. There are probably better movies in that mix - I adore Walk Hard and Superbad - but Knocked Up & Funny People being released when they were and the swing they made, as they said, into a more James L Brooks tone than the standard raunch flick of the time feels like more interesting discussion fodder
Brian Blake
Judd Apatow -- take all the feature films he produced and didn't direct. That's the banger and better, more interesting series of movies.
Donald W Pratt
I’m all in on Alex Garland, but I do have to admit that it’s 100% due to the one film he isn’t credited with directing.
Donald W Pratt
I also thought you had to press your vote again to see the results for a while.
Lobo
I’m laughing at them keeping track of ballot stuffing because I’ve embarrassingly voted twice a few times because I completely forgot that I had already voted 🤦🏻♀️

David Lynch is the patron saint of Boomer art
