1. The proportions of the cats is weird and changes a lot 2. The special effects were so bad they released an updated version after the movie had already been in theaters 3. Hey, y’all, just what is a jellicle cat?!! It’s so hilarious that they don’t define it!! 4. *snrt* Hey, what if there was a BUTTHOLE edition that *snrt* showed the cat’s buttholes?! I’ve said this before, but will say it again: I despise Lloyd Webber, his influence on the musical theater has been baleful, and the movies range from mediocre to abominable. All that said, bad movies can make for good episodes, and if it saves us from Schumacher or Hooper series, that’s a net gain. Also, Lindsay Ellis should be a guest on at least one episode! Re the Robin Hoods, the series would include 1 classic, 2 flawed but interesting-to-discuss movies, and 2 that are largely forgotten. It also should really include Robin and Marian: it stars Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn! It’s far from perfect, but is elevated by the performances.
