It was mostly a mean joke above all, but also a vent that most of the in person friend group discussions I have these days are inevitably going to involve either sports fantasy/parlays or D&D campaign stories and in-jokes, and I imagine that’s at least where at least some of the juice is coming from here lol. But like I alluded to, it’d still be a fine series! It’s also I guess a chance to see, like, the inverse Ghostbusters happen with Ouija and Origin of Evil.

It's confounding some people would prefer Highlander over the gift that is Tabletop. Dont get me wrong I've been stumping for Highlander when it was up in rotation but there is really no comparison. 1 exquisite movie with a fun but flawed sequel and then two confusing sequels that undo 2 vs one of the finest films put to celluloid and a bunch of fun popcorn movies. For me it's all about avoiding ALW that too me is a rough ask.

As amazing as Highlander would be it is ultimately another "perfect movie followed by diminishing returns" franchise arcs, which we've already had a lot of discussion of through the Ghostbusters and Terminators miniseries (which I love!).
