I dig this movie a lot hut it is absolutely not better than “all but four Marvel movies.” 😭 people are wildly over-correcting with their MCU takes.
Fischer Mollard
I cheered in the theater when John Connor got merc’d at the beginning. What an awesome movie.

Didn't last long those changes in the UK

Paul King to direct The Edge Chronicles: Beyond The Deep Woods.

David is a Robot. Full stop.

You guys are so wrong about this film 😆 it is derivative and seen it, done better, I'm bored. Very bored.
Kaz Nosu Gref
Genisys is stylistic and interesting. This isn't.
Kaz Nosu Gref
The films CGI is awful.

Hey, guys don't forget this blunder on James's behalf. He openly approved and help spread the word for Terminator Genisys https://youtu.be/fAGS0G2i7UY?si=gxvRjFcrJ2QGFSDC

I dare you to audio commentary the fuck out of the Crank films!

the stretchy pizza is part of my psyche 🍕🧠
Rad Rodge
You know, these are all good points, especially the 30-minutes-into-Supremacy is a pretty compelling swing to talk about
Savannah
I would do ANYTHING for a “cats” commentary: Cats (the good one) Cats (the new one) Cats don’t Dance That Darn Cat Please I will give you every dollar I make for the rest of my life 😭

Horrible oversight in the ratings -- T2:3D! Which comes in...I'm gonna say after T3 but still in the DF/T3 "goodish with big flaws" tier (the flaw being that it's stuck with theme park plotting and so the end gets smudgey...). The rest of the ordering is hard to argue, though I do think T3's ending improves the movie by half a point or so. If we were going by look-of-film, it'd obvi be third in line.

I like movies

Turtles? Radical! Love it!! You all gotta eat pizza on mic. The stretchy gooey kind too.
Maricela Gonzalez
Feeling veryyy validated as a ALW advocate
John
I never hear David or Ben eating. They don’t bite or chew into the mic or talk with food in their mouth. THAT’S all I’m saying.
Douglas Wykstra
I think that Supremacy bears a lot of discussion about the different stylistic choices Greengrass makes that come to define the franchise much more than Liman's take, and Ultimatum could get a lot of mileage out of the narrative sleight-of-hand that is revealed approximately 30 minutes into the film. Plus, the films still have a lot of the things that make the Bond films fun to discuss--exotic locales, foreign character actors who are huge stars in their own country. No gadgets, but Bourne's improvisational instincts could be discussed with equal fervor. Also, Griffin has only ever seen The Bourne Legacy, so I imagine much of the first 3 films would simply involve David and Ben trying to explain what's happening.

I just need to make everyone here aware of the quite healthy lesbian fandom this movie still has, it’s very heartening
Jenny Potter
Yay Turtles
David Brown
I'm a Griff Hog, but Dark Fate is NOT the perfect coda to T1 and T2 lmao
Grace Fusco
Best supporting actress Mackenzie’s white tank top
Thomas Doyle
It was on 21st of March

Sandy wet skulls and bones to open?!
Chris Radicone
Loved the "real-time" discussion of considering Andrew Lloyd Webber. Glad we got Table Top still but I suppose color me intrigued.
Chris Radicone
Wow great call
Will McLaren
Yeah, it could work if it commited and the rest of the movie was equally as bold. But as it goes on it becomes obvious that they just wanted to clear the deck a little.
Rad Rodge
Even despite the first two Greengrass ones being the actual realization of what “the Bourne movies” come to mean haha
Rad Rodge
This is a fair point but I guess I think the Bournes have too little variation within them to make a good run of episodes, there’s kinda of a lot to talk about for The Bourne Legacy but other than that I think there’s actually not much left to say at commentary length about the Greengrass movies once you’ve covered the Liman
Rad Rodge
I guess I’m more open to that as a story choice, I think killing John is an acceptable part of the story being about no permanent resolution to the timeline will ever be possible and every attempted solution will ruin something else. I guess I don’t think this movie commits quite fully enough to that idea but in a way, that does seem to me like kinda the impossible “third” position for the Terminator premise toggle switch that Griffin talks about
Tomas Marinara
I've dug the two Bond commentary serieses, but I'd prefer another horror franchise around September/October? Then maybe a Bond?
Tom
Series warp-up rank Terminator 2 Terminator Terminator: Dark Fate Terminator 3 Terminator: Salvation Terminator: Genisys
Jerry Kowalski

FYI, unless this is an April fools joke on the internet today is McKenzie Davis’ birthday.
Jack Barr
Also conceived in response to Pierce Bond...the Austin Powers series
“Very High T”
I’m honestly fine with the terminator collection only having the first three films and Dark Fate.
“chris”
Not enough attention was given to Ben’s suggestion of Ghost Rider on a tricycle
Douglas Wykstra
A big part of this miniseries for me is realizing that my ideal Terminator 2 sequel is a talky dramedy about Sarah Connor coming to grips with the fact that her son, who was going to be the savior of humanity, is going to be an unremarkable millennial fuckboy instead. Nicole Holofcener to write/direct.
Douglas Wykstra
Re: the next Bond series, I think it makes sense to do the Bourne films before any other Bond, because they are so clearly conceived in response to the Brosnan Bonds, and are a huge influence on Casino Royale.
Ben_Grimm_13
twin terminators but played by Arnold and Danny DeVito?
Riley Jessett
Griff still thinks he’s gonna be on city walk saga at this point lol
BestowalDonkey8
Love how Davis is so tall and butch she keeps having to steal men’s clothes.
Will McLaren
There’s no reason this movie should be about just Sarah and not Sarah AND John. I just can’t forgive it for killing him right away. There’s no reason to do it except that they didn’t know what to do with him or how to cast him. But besides that (and Carl), it’s solid.
Graham Parker
Please never stop doing New York, New York
Will McLaren
Mackenzie Davis? More like Mackenzie Takethis… HAND IN MARRIAGE
Faye Woods
Mackenzie Davis has been doing theatre in London. I saw her in a Janet McTeer play at the National Theatre!
Tom
MacKenzie Davis. Schwing!
Nicholas Ewers
Please take a year off from covering Bond. How about an animated franchise? Or a fantastical one like Harry Potter or LOTR?
Jeff Brax
Somebody hit him.
