Disagree. You called someone 'obnoxious', I explained why I thought that was mean and uncalled for. When you start a podcast and call someone obnoxious, I'll choose whether I'll listen or not. If someone then goes into your "fan forum" (or whatever) and calls you obnoxious, I'll think they're behaving badly. And the2friends annoy me sometimes too. I might share that on reddit, although I would make sure to specify and not just offer a rude blanket statement about someone. I wouldn't do it here. The reason I responded to your comment is that I thought they were both super not annoying in this episode - I rarely find them annoying (hint: that why I pay them) but this was, IMO, the opposite of annoyance, I thought their banter were extra pleasant. "I get it, you’re better than me." That was either pretty rude sarcasm towards me, or a good reason for you to change. Either way, I guess we're done here. But, perhaps, try to imagine me being an actually nice guy who just wants people to not be rude everywhere on the internet. Writing often comes off as snide or, well, obnoxious, but I assure you I'm neither. Just consider not just posting stuff like "this guy sucks" and similar. Just a thought.

I would get home late from work and eat dinner, and Joel would eat his midnight snacks, and we would sit in the dark kitchen in complete silence. We did this for a year. He likes mead. I’m privy to way, way too much of his relationship drama. I know he’s like, famous, but that was a weird “Am I having a stroke” moment just now

“Just a guy venting” is absolutely correct. I was venting because I found the behavior of the host annoying. What an offense. I’m not here to offer criticism or change the content. In the hundreds of hours of Blank Check I dared to be annoyed by a single episode. Stop the presses. I get it, you’re better than me. I’m glad you found an avenue to express your superiority and be condescending. For real man, whatever impulse you have in life that causes you to jump down the throats of strangers on the internet, I’m happy you have a platform. I’m a paid subscriber and I’ll say I found the host annoying if I want to. As unconstructive and allegedly mean as my comment was your reply isn’t much different. I’m just venting, you’re making a judgement on someone else’s personality and character. I don’t care what you do to your friends or how you behave around them, that’s your life. Both David and Griffin talk mad shit about other people on these episodes, some of it earned, some of it not. They can say a director, creator, writer or friend is (insert negative adjective/adverb combination), I’m allowed to do the same. I love the show, sometimes Griffin is annoying and obnoxious. The world shall continue and this entire exchange is irrelevant.

I hear one guy loving a film more than the other guy and having a great time explaining why. I hear absolutely zero annoyance in David, they're teasing each other a bit but nothing more. I can find podcasters annoying some times, you know what I do? I either choose to keep listening or find a new podcast. Like with friends. I rarely go up to a friend and say "you're especially grating and annoying today". Criticism is fine when it's appropriate, constructive and/or not too personal. A comment like yours is just mean; nothing gained, just a guy venting, and making the internet a slightly worse place for the rest of us.

Good for you. It’s grating when one host is trying to enjoy the movie and talk about why he enjoys it and other seems completely uninterested in the movie, continually attempts to derail and make every conversation about himself. It doesn’t help that you can tell David is clearly annoyed by it. If the purpose of the show is to give one the vibe ghat you’re in the room with your friends watching a movie, part of that experience is going to be the one guy that’s sort of hashing the vibe. It’s a feature not a bug. Griff is always kind of a little bit annoying. That’s sort of his thing and why we (I?) tune in. This time was a little much.
