Its a real shame, but Ontkean retired from acting, is living in Hawaii and didn’t want to come back although they definitely wanted him…so they subbed in Forster who they initially wanted to Harry in the first place (though Ontkean was perfect in the role)

In my previous attempt to watch Twin Peaks a few years ago, I tapped out around Cooper's glass bottle exercise in early season 1. I watched both seasons when BC announced Lynch, and I'm really glad I did. This was a great way to end my first watch of the original run.

In the bit where they're like, "Who else from the show doesn't come back for The Return?" and they don't mention the single biggest absence? The entire first two seasons are built on the relationship of Cooper and Sheriff Truman and then Harry doesn't come back? We don't see Real Coop ever meet with Harry ever again?

Lol oh Ben. He did not think Blake lively sisters story was funny one bit. All I could think was " top that" over and over. Idk I feel like that and the piper Laurie reveal maybe this should have rubbed me the wrong way but I kinda loved it. I became Lynch-pilled in the early 2000s and back then it was impossible to get season 2. (Maybe VHS tapes existed but I certainly couldn't get my hands on them) So I used my college printer to PRINT OUT the entirety of the script and read it.... If you weren’t watching this season in real time when it first aired, I don’t know that you’ll ever understand how it landed. It’s not hyperbole to say that it was like hearing a dog suddenly talk to you in perfect English. It’s not amazing to hear a subject and verb follow each other when you hear that all the time. But if you heard that out the mouth of a dog, you’d never forget it. And that’s what seeing S2 released through network TV was like.
