They just Mortal Promised it would happen regardless, because MK is a fun lightweight series. Watching all the RE’s is an actually challenging undertaking that they would NOT opt to do unless forced. I say force them. It’ll be a lot like Apes, in terms of schlocky sci-fi overambition with great individual performances and extremely apparent budgets that pulls an Apocalypse weirdly early in its run and has to keep going.
