That's a great question! Sometimes when your working on a character, it's easy to miss some mistakes cause you are used to drawing it a certain way. For this portrait, I kept noticing that the eyes were skewed and not positioned right when first drawing them. Flipping the canvas allows me to check if the proportions look even and not skewed or off. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for posting these process videos. It’s really interesting to see how you work! Question: why do you flip your pics horizontally while you work? Is it easier to work with different sides because of how you hold your pen, or that seeing the different viewpoint helps you pick out details, or something else?
