I have another 1084 sibling monitor: The Philips New Media Systems VS0080/00 which was meant for the Philips MSX "ecosystem".

I have a Phillips CM8833 Mk I (according to Grok) from around 1985, not powered up since around '93. The circuit board seems very similar to the one in your 1084 and most of the PCB is populated with components. However besides the vertically mounted TTL RGB board theres another vertically mounted board in the area of the SCART-plug. This board is not visible on any of your monitors. No idea what its used for. Anyways I powered up the monitor for the first time in over 30 years ... and it works perfectlly ... except the power button which only occationally latches, just like you mentioned it would, haha.. The flyback transformer is of the original good quality type and works just fine.

I haven't watched the video yet. I have a 1990 Philips CM8533 which may be the same. Except the PAL decoding has stopped working last year but RGB works fine and is really sharp. I need to watch the video.
