Main channel: The Zenith ZT-1 lives! Going deep to figure out what killed it
🕑 Added 2025-07-24 20:05:52 +0000 UTCHello my patrons, here is part 2 of the Zenith ZT-1 series where I actually get this machine to show signs of life. Getting to that part required breaking out tools I don't even normally use: my logic analyzer! So enjoy the troubleshooting exercise and see what it's like working on an undocumented system where you lack schematics and technical documentation.
Thanks for all your support!

I wonder if the bottom line missing is the CRTC/VRAM issue similar to the left column, and not a RetroTINK problem. It looks suspiciously clean cut off.

Hi Adrian, the ZT-1 videos have been pretty interesting to watch. It sort of feels like we're watching a "who done it" crime drama. It was the Intel CRT controller with the RetroTink in the Basement! Ok, maybe I've played a little too much Clue! with the kids. Anyway, I am enjoying this series and I am looking forward to a future video on this interesting terminal. Keep up the good work!
