🕑 Added 2025-06-22 20:16:19 +0000 UTCHi everyone! After months of work, updates, improvements, and feedback from the community, The Renault R26 and the version 6.0 of the F1 2006 Season for Assetto Corsa are finally here! This is the biggest and most complete update yet.

Realistic Carbon Fiber textures and Paint for an authentic look.
Realistic Aerodynamic Wings Movement.
Realistic & Improved Tyre textures.
Progressive Damage/Dirt & Tyre Wear Effects.
Improved T-cam and cockpit models.
Improved Physics curated by Spectron Racing Team.
Revised Physics by Didier Bestard.
Upgraded Interior with refined details.
CSP Features: Functional LED lights & Rear LED lights (wet weather & pit lane).
Enhanced FPV (First-Person View).
Improved Digital Instruments.
Special liveries used throughout the 2006 season. (Ready for v2.0)
Driver Gloves recreated in accurate colors.
Improved Helmets with realistic visor reflections.
Authentic Exhaust Flames.

Improved and reworked V8 Renault engine Sounds expertly crafted by our official partner Prophetimus.
Includes liveries for all teams with more relevant changes throughout the season for each circuit. Special liveries for RedBull, Honda, Renault.
Includes all Special Helmets drivers worn during the season.

CSP Features such as working rear light led blinking.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – Performance Settings!
To avoid stutters or memory overload when running full grids with the 2006 season:
Enable Deduplicate Textures in Content Manager.
🛠️ Content Manager Path for Deduplicate Textures:
Settings > Custom Shaders Patch > General Patch Settings > GPU Optimizations > Deduplicate textures
⚠️ IMPORTANT – Tyre Textures!
To make tyres work properly, drop the tyres.zip file into this folder:
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\textures\cars
If placed incorrectly, the tyres won’t appear in-game.
The 2006_Tyres.rar contains the tyres.zip with two versions: 4K tyres and 2K tyres. Depending on your setup, choose the one that works best for you. Once you’ve selected the right version, drop that zip file into the directory.

Hi Robin, the .rar you downloaded contains the tyres zip. Inside you’ll find two versions: 4K tyres and 2K tyres. so depending on your setup you should pick which ones best for you. Once you selected the right ones, thats the zip folder you need to drop into the directory.

The r26 car is having low downforce and AI don't race it properly and fast, other cars are great, any solutions for r26?

there is still something wrong with the tyre textures....the tyres are pretty much black without the michelin and bridgestone logo even though i put the zip file in the extension>textures>cars

I noticed a couple little things with the mod: the internal and external audio on the McLaren is a bit too quiet same with the external audio on the Ferrari. Other than that I’m having quite a bit of fun with it.

El R26 aun recibe actualizaciones, por lo que aun no esta en el pack de 2006, una vez este completo sera' parte del pack, igualmente puedes descargarlo en el post del R26 sin ningun problema :)

Buenas tardes podrian aclarar cuales son los requisitos del sistema para jugar a este mod f1 2006 ( prcesador y placa de video ) porque el juego se carga y luego se pone pantalla en negro.

Excelente trabajo, lo estuve probando el fin de semana junto al mod de HUD y está genial! Pero, una pregunta.... Puede ser que falten escuderias? No vi el Renault. En cada uno de los links hay 5 escuderias para descargar, pero en ninguna figura el Renault (no se si faltará alguna otra)

Hola Martín, Es complicado si lo formulas tres veces de distintas maneras. De todos modos, la solución es muy sencilla: no necesitas descargar ningún mod extra, solo instala el mod en la carpeta correspondiente de Assetto Corsa y listo. Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars Gracias por tu apoyo!

Hi, I'm having a problem with the tire textures on the rain tires. They're displayed incorrectly on one side. Furthermore, when I view the enemies from the cockpit perspective, the textures are displayed completely incorrectly. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Hey Patrick, did you already tried to activate Deduplicate textures in GPU Optimizations?

Not sure why but this mod creates a huge amount of lag when doing a race. I thought it was just my PC but I tested several other mods doing the same event and it doesn't lag. Tested it with numerous different tracks and I get the same results... only this mod lags. I'm at a loss and asking for any ideas.
