Hi everyone! I’m excited to announce a collaboration between MHRacing, SATLAB, Adrian, Spectron Racing Team, and Didier Bestard. brought to you by The Race Project.
The complete 2001 F1 season is now officially in development, built entirely from the ground up with 3D artist Adrian, creator of the Renault R26, BMW Sauber F1.08, and RedBull RB6.
The pack will feature improved versions of the Jordan EJ11 by SATLAB, alongside cars from the talented MHRacing team. Known in the Assetto Corsa community for some of the most accurate and detailed early 2000s creations, including the BAR 003 and Minardi PS01. Physics will be handled by Spectron Racing Team and Didier Bestard, with testing and feedback from Alfonso Giuliano and JamesDRacing.
This wouldn’t be possible without all of your support. You truly are the fuel behind this project.
This Project marks the first of many 2000's seasons to come, and while it may take a bit longer than our usual releases, it’ll be worth the wait. Featuring all of our best improvements so far, delivering higher quality, better performance, and a more refined driving experience.

Hello and welcome! of course, could you let me know exactly where you’re having trouble with the installation? For example, is it with adding the mod into the correct folder, using Content Manager, or something else?

Thanks for the feedback! You’re right, the current 2001 physics aren’t AI-friendly, but the rebuild we’re working on will fix that while keeping the realism to improve the experience. Can’t wait to bring your favourite season to life!

Love all the mods you guys make. The driving realism itself is fantastic. Sometimes ai behaviour for full races needs a little tweaking - but it takes no time at all to do, and I’ve had some amazing racing with all 2002 - 2005 mods. The 2001 season currently on Patreon (and everywhere else on AC Modding community I can find) is the only one where no amount of ai tweaking will save the AI attrition issue on tracks like Imola. I know this may be partly down to the fact that the physics are so realistic and a little too knife edge for the ai to handle, but if this ai drive-ability could be taken into account too - that would be mega. 2001 is my favourite season - really excited to see what you all do with it. The difference is that these cars are being built entirely from scratch, meaning higher-quality models, improved physics, better textures, and an overall complete overhaul compared to a simple conversion.
