"But, he’d lived there, and it had worked fine, better than fine." Now that is hands-down the most delusional statement Nero has and ever will make. The USA is a burning dumpster fire and there is no questioning this.

From the bottom of my heart, I want that to happen. I would so enjoy that for at least 6 months before I got bored with it.

That feeling when you suddenly become the owner operator of a famous internationally acclaimed cruise ship...

Yeah, I can almost hear a drunk guy in the corner snickering while shouting, "DRAAAMAAA!"

I can't imagine Nero wanting to deal with sycophants/idol worshipers like Quincy for any extended period of time, if at all.

The kingdom can and will offer quests for its 'special' classes of citizens to go do stuff. Think of it like a real world application of those 'heroic' units in strategy games like 'Age of Wonders'. Here, in this kingdom, they cleverly stop 'game breaking' individuals from acquiring disproportionate power by taking them out of their noble system. Instead of letting them take over cities and screw up their standard kingdom models, they 'promote' them out of their house and let them wander around fixing problems, or investigating things. The last thing a competent society would try and do would be to try and leash people that by their very definition are powerful outliers. This way, they can still be of use, while not tipping the delicate balance of power.

Ok. So it makes a little bit of sense to me to have Uniques just wandering around getting paid by cities to solve their problems. My question is shouldn't there be something in there about the kingdom itself being able to order him to go do stuff? What's the point of having these huge assets and giving them tons of privileges, if they can't basically force them to handle things that they're "uniquely" able to handle? Shouldn't they also kind of be like the Populators?
