There's an Australian show where dead people in a small town return to life after years and in that show a wife who died comes back to find her husband had moved on and actually married her best friend after she passed AND THAT IS A SOURCE OF DRAMA.

As someone who has 2 children and had gender reveals for both, that second story absolutely floors me. The idea of a gender reveal should ideally just be a way to gather together with your loved ones (who want to be a part of the childs lives) to share the news of the gender of the baby. As yall correctly put it, too many people just see this as an opportunity to make the entire event about themselves and just want another way to bring attention to themselves. Having a gender reveal party AT SOMEONES WEDDING (?!?!?!?) is just incredibly selfish. Granted it wouldn’t be as bad had OP been okay with it but honestly it should never have crossed her mind in the first place.
