The best way to attack the final post is to have a conversation imo, but I think that Danny and Jordan's deliveries make the issue more obvious than the method they should go for. If I were the husband, I would sit down and say "Hey, I've noticed that youve been asking a lot of questions at the end of these types of movies, do you enjoy this type of setting? I enjoy watching films with you and love spending time with you, so if you aren't into this genre we can watch anything. I'm otherwise happy to answer all your questions, I love you :)" That way you don't sound like you are questioning the intellegence of your partner and giving them the choice of what to watch.
