Every Londoner knows THAT is the place to meet Celebrities... Years ago (in the 1980s to be precise) - I walked into one of the venues there and America's Superstars at the time - "Shalamar" were playing. I went (back then) with a boyfriend at the time (who turned out to be a cad), so his presence ruins my memory a bit. Anyway, all I remember is we got in and were pushed to the very front - near the stage, if I had stretched my hand I would have touched the singers. That is how close the crowd was to the stage. What sticks to mind is I was standing, looking up and I was facing the female singer and all I could remember saying to myself was - "Gosh! She has lovely legs!"
