I love Rem bringing up a very important issue people have with therapy. It is assumed that when you go to a doctor or counselor, that it should just work out. In reality these people are everyday people like their patients. I've done the trail and error of just picking someone because the practice was close, convenient, had a high rating. During this I stumbled upon a Neuropsychologist which has been the biggest blessing. They evaluate you and give you a true understanding of how your brain works, as well as recommending what kind of therapist would work best for you. I was misdiagnosed with Bipolar for years because my first doctor listened to my mother and not me. Because of that first diagnosis, I felt limited in my treatments. Now that I have found my voice and watch this amazing Podcast, I was able to become more proactive in my mental health journey ❤️❤️❤️
