Personally, I DO like Song of the Week. I have been introduced to some artists I had never heard of before that I now LOVE. That being said, I agree that this episode was not it. I understand they are fans of Drake, but this was too much for such a short episode. Reacts is becoming my favorite channel anymore because we don't get James breaking down episodes of garbage reality TV anymore (MAFS, etc), we don't get recommendations on shows/movies with the detail we used to get... I dunno, it's just been feeling a little flat for me, and that was BEFORE they left for the tour. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I don’t disagree but plenty of other podcasts go on international tours and still release quality episodes. In fact, there were 2 other big podcasts on tour in AUS at the same time as them who have continued to release quality content despite being on tour. This was just a lazy episode and the people who pay to subscribe to them, have a right to make comment. Imagine no one said anything and then every episode was like this? They would sink faster than a ship taking on water and none of us want to see them fail. I went to their Melbourne show and even just a run down of the prep for the live shows and some reviews of places they had eaten/activities they had done while on tour would have been better than this. Meagan’s (free) tiktoks from the tour shouldn’t be more entertaining than the episodes they recorded while on it. Signed- I’ve been here since the beginning before Fuhad quit his job and still lived with Bella but I won’t glaze them when they fuck up.

How many other podcasters have done 2 international tours and both times killed themselves recording episodes ahead of time and arranging studio time on the tour to put out episodes? I hear what you're saying. I'm actually surprised on what they choose to put in patreon and what they put out for free. I'd happily pay for the reacts episodes, especially when the full cast are involved. I don't think they're running out of gas, they just need to be themselves, and music is apart of that. But there's a huge difference in talking about things, and forcing something on your listeners. With 2M subscribers, how many of their followers actually like drake. This episode served less than a quarter of their client base, and that's being generous. I get that they're on tour, but an episode of games, twitter and Reddit reads, reactions to stories, shit news... Anything would have been better and more widely received than Drake.... I was surprised with this episode, but it doesn't make me like them any less, just an odd choice!

I 100% agree with both of you. The song of the week section has been my least favorite of all time. Doesn't bring value, it's the same week after week, same genre, same shit. I honestly think they just added that as a time filler and they are running out of gas. Just compare ANY Pick Your Poison section and you will see the difference and how low they have fallen.
