Mans fell in love all over again In terms of the different characters for Japanese, I’m not sure how they teach this in the app but I’m guessing this is the difference between hiragana and katakana. Hiragana are the phonetics for words that originate in Japanese and Chinese; katakana is for foreign words. It’s the same series of sounds but they’re written differently. So any word that’s borrowed from another language, non-Japanese names, things like that would be written in katakana. Department store is one of them - デパート. Coffee and chocolate are others.

I don't read books like that and do not plan to start now or listen. I didn't even read Harry Potter and never will. Sometimes, it is just not worth opening up your soul or spirit to things like this - in the name of 'Entertainment'. Especially if you have a wild imagination - You will find that even hours after you have put the book down - the book has not put you down. I stopped watching this Episode, once James explained the book. I LOVE books, I am a bibliophile and have no less than 3000 books (some purchased, some inherited) - no exaggeration - of different genre - but not this. So would have LOVED a segment on Books! It would have been a great segment (like Oprah's Book Club) - but why this genre?! James is an AMAZING Story Teller and I could listen to him for hours - but not this! I know there has been a phenomenal rise in 'Romantasy' - and I respect people's choices - but personally for me, I shall draw the line here. I love these guys too much not to say anything. I started watching this Podcast because the laughter pulled me through a difficult time in my life but if this 'Book Segment' is solely going to be based on this particular type of genre - (Dragons, Fairies, Explicit Sex /Erotica etc.) - which may go on - ad infinitum - as James allegedly opined - Then - YIKES! Not for me. Sorry and I'm no prude. I have not even watched 'Game of Thrones' - LOL! Yes - there are some of us out there! With respect - Sometimes it is just best to stick to what you do best! - Laughter / Comedy - Or story telling of a different nature/ genre - especially from someone like James - who is clearly gifted in Story Telling! Each to their own. God bless you and yours. P/S: I shall miss you Lilly!
