Chapter 11 Prologue release date

Summer is around the corner in ORS, and some characters will be sporting adequate new outfits for the season. In Holly's case, depending on how her personality has been evolving, she'll choose one of two looks:
I was thinking about adding some kind of print to Holly's white T-shirt, but couldn't come up with any design. Do you have any ideas?
Aside from work on the prologue, many other tasks have been worked on: new and updated music tracks for the game, some technical and visual enhancements, test for artists (I have found two that could work, so I've already commissioned a scene for each) and mainly a total overhaul of my software and hardware set up. This has caused all sort of problems, but I've finally managed to get the important things in working order. I had been postponing this, since I hate changes and migrating data and programs is as messy as a real house move, but now was the time to do it. Besides, I wanted to experiment with new AI technologies, to see if I can implement them somehow to speed things up in the near future. So far I managed to create some pretty decent scenarios for the game, and even though they're not perfect yet, I will try to implement some in the upcoming release. Here's as assorted mix of results I managed; some of those look really promising and almost good enough to be used in-game.

Eva has found artist who did all backgrounds but for some reason she has chosen an AI to do the job for ch.11. (or for the prologue only). Maybe because the studio was unable to meet Eva's schedule or maybe because she simply couldn't afford them right now due to her workstation overhaul.

I am curious: What was the task you had for the AI? Did you supply a complete picture and asked the AI to alter it? For example changing the lightning from day to evening? Or did you ask ist to add some "clutter" to it like socks or books? Or did you use it to add shadows? Or are these complete new pictures based on your expectations like "Make a bew room for Holly that looks cozy, but also... and many books, but no plants and..."?

I am skeptical about AI-work, but the results seem promising so far. Must feel unfulfilling for the artist though to be partially replaced by an algorithm. But about the benefits: I never had the feeling that money was a problem here, rather the unability to find fitting artists. So the AI will save money (maybe) but will not speed up development much (see Gmoney's post) or even delay it if the AI is hard to adjust and it's art hard to finalize.

Yeah, but new PC & software costs money especially if she wanted a Mac which are ridiculously overpriced. Outsourcing new backgrounds also isn't cheap and use of AI probably is better cost-effective option at this moment.

What expectations would you have about her story? How far would you go with her - or would you only like a love-romance-story?

I think, plain, virgin white suits her quite well, maybe a little flower or some colour-band. In my eyes, she is not that fan-girl that likes bling-bling, but has a more classy style and is more mature than that (in her own way). Look at her glasses - simply black and a little old-fashioned thick frames, no pink girly-glasses. But I could live with everything Eva decides, even a pink unicorn for her shirt ;) . What about frame-less glasses or even lenses for sexy-Holly in the next step? The new smaller glasses suit her well.

BTW, when Holly changes her glasses to look more stylish, I almost wish there was a way for Ian to tell her that he thinks the old ones were just fine, haha. But anyway, regarding Holly's shirt, I think what others have said about some fantasy theme would be cool. Or maybe a kind of nerdy/obscure message. I just bought a mug that says "Team Oxford Comma" on it, lol.

Great idea the AI part for the screens. It would definitively speed up the process and help you create scenes much faster ! Nice work !

The new sets and Holly's wardrobe look great. Re: Holly's shirt design, I agree with Bethor. Something that represents her love of fantasy novels would be appropriate. I was thinking something like a fae or fairy to represent her softer side, but a dragon would be cool.

Holly's new shirt is dire need of nice dragon print, wolf's head or sleeping kitten. :D BTW, she looks very nice and surprisingly sexy. AI backgrounds look jaw-dropping but I hope you have used free art to train it as I know that some artists don't like when someone uses their work to do that without permission.
