Holy fuck. Idk if its already been said a bunch but getting to see so much of the Undersea after so few details for so long feels like such a beautiful way to bring back Riptide. For Gillion, he still only just learned the true prophecy and broke his oath, and even though he'd only been banished for a few months it sounds like he had still been so isolated growing up that even he wouldn't know what his home or culture was like outside of the Elders. Exploring this whole new world within the map and having all of these reveals and callbacks fall into place for him, at the same time as us, while he brings his new family to meet his first one, all hits so much harder because of the weight of Riptide's hiatus and everything that happened in the Black Sea before, and because Celeste is finally apologizing to him. I'm struggling to explain it but all the time that passed between them entering the Hole and them leaving it makes this new life that's finally, fully unfurling for Gillion *that* much sweeter as a viewer. You're fucking cooking.
