🕑 Added 2022-03-28 11:18:15 +0000 UTCHello fellows! I gonna start Houdini tutorials throuth my c4d background. I want to make sure if you are intrested in Houdini. Of course I will continue with c4d (dynamics, scene nodes, assets) cuz it's still my go on tool but I want to be on the same page with my community! Bellow simple Poll.

Just diving in Houdini for a month now and is amazing, much more fast for lot of sim, so would be great to see full tutorials on it, light & rendering included.

Yes xparticles much slower than Houdini solvers. I’ll do my best to explain as much as I can about Houdini.

I love C4D/XP but when I start pushing things a little further it starts to slow down a lot and you lose that design-iteration sense. So for the 3rd time, i start learning and using Houdini- hopefully, this time will make the charm :-) looking forward to more Houdini tuts...
Mikhail
Completely understand you! I hope I'll create something interesting in c4d for you without XP.

I dont use houdini. Xparticles more interesting for me but i have seen your reply before.

I've already had somthing special =)

Unfortunately I don't have x-particles due to sanction. I'm from Russia. But I would try to compare it with Houdini pipeline. In most cases is not so complicated.

Sure - would like to see Houdini being used more as a tool. For example make a nice simulation in houdini but always bring it back into C4D for rendering.

I would love a short overview of when you would use X-Particles vs Houdini in certain scenarios / jobs. Perhaps highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of both and how you combine the two into your workflow. Thanks!
Mikhail
Shure! This is the main Idea

Would love a beginner friendly houdini tutorial & how you integrate it into your workflow 😁
