Great advice I find preparing my source images really useful. I like to have 4 ready to go and when I start to draw just start at the first one no matter how you feel about it at that moment. Self discipline is the core of getting better at any stuff, not just art.

It is my opinion that a mixture of different disciplines suits a student best. So, draw Bargues and make other short sketches as well.

Hi Stephen, I'm making bargue copies to solidify my understanding of drawing, but I would like to know if you recommend that I also make sketches or just focus on the bargues?
