AFTER ATLA
🕑 Added 2021-10-31 14:05:40 +0000 UTCWe're still over 3 months away from being done of ATLA, but people have naturally been wondering what I'll do after it's done. Well, here are some of the ideas that will happen, in no particular order.
-Underanalyzing Book 2 and Book 3
-Overanalyzing Shyamalan's Last Airbender
-Avatar "Iceberg" Theories Video (Extremely out of fashion)
-Overanalyzing a certain episode of Game of Thrones
-Some sort of overanalyzing content on Korra, may not be in the same form that ATLA has been
-A new secret series.
When OA ATLA ends, the patreon will still always have advanced content. You guys will always be ahead of the youtube releases. I'm not sure at this point if it will remain 2 videos ahead, because the work load will obviously change as I move on to differently formatted videos. But you will always be at least one ahead, no matter the length of the video or how long it takes me to make it.
I don't say it enough, but thank you guys a lot for the support so far, and the support going forward.

You could surely go analyzing other shows and fandoms, I think a lot of us would follow through, just because it's you. Korra would be really interesting though. Personally, I liked the show, and would really like to see some overanalyzing of it.

Share your own theories of different things that could’ve ultimately changed the course of the entire story. Certain decisions characters had to make and how they could’ve also changed
Overanalyzing an entirely different show? Mayhaps?
You should do a few episodes that take a series wide analysis on each major character. Would it be rehashing? Maybe a little, but it would be a great capstone for the series.
FingerSizedToes
dont do korra, people dont care as much as avatar and it would definitely loose viewers as i doubt it can be analysed as much as atla.
man over analyzing Korra season one would be tough I feel like it drags on so much
Korra seems the natural choice, although I'd happily understand if you wanted a break from the avatar universe.
FMAB would be cool too
Overanalysing archer 🤣
Game of thrones would be awesome. It’s such an intricate show and it would be amazing to see you overanalyze it.
I'm curious about your opinion on Korra. I know a lot of people either don't like it or haven't seen it, and am just interested in what you think.
OA Korra, ESPECIALLY the last two seasons, would be fucking amazing. I would absolutely maintain my patreon status for korra content from you of this quality
Bman1
Look forward to all of it, heavily fuck with overanalyzing Game of Thrones

I would very much like to see some analyzing Korra. Much as the fandom seems to hate it in comparison, I find it has some really great nuanced themes, especially around the villains as well as the development of the world in terms of globalization and the advancement/evolution of bending. One example is how more firebenders can lightning bend, or how the development of MMA styles of bending for sporting purposes, vs the more traditional bending that people like Tenzin and Kya use.
Your videos are so great! Can’t wait to see what you do next my dude!

I tend to agree that LoK is generally quite good with plenty of excellent episodes to consider and review. Even the ones that don't stand up as well have a mix of good and bad points to them that are interesting to discuss.
Why does it seem that a lot of folks who watch OA dislike Korra? I’m putting my voice in to say, no, Korra is a damn good show even with its flaws.
Charles Barnett
I am 100% down for the idea of a LOK overanalysis series. Even though it's not a great show, it would seem sort of wrong to not to do a LOK overanalysis.
Do the movie, and then the James Cameron movie
Kevin Hall
I would be super interested to hear you do the same format with Korra, even if it does become more of an example of contrasting how Korra's troubled development (and other problems) really fucked their ability to plot and pace things out well.

The movie, Korra, and the comics

You could do "Overanalyzing The Dragon Prince", it at least keeps the moon continuity. But seriously, the legend of Korra could be a good continuation to keep with the avatar theme.
Savannah Smith
Over analyzing themes in Korra? I think the series wasn’t as consistently strong but tackled some deep issues. You could pluck from different episodes to support each episode
I would pay good money for an "Overanalyzing Game of Thrones" channel. Like I would enter the don't tier. I don't have that kind of money but worth the debt for sure

I like the sound of the ideas you put out. I'm hoping a "He's right!" compilation video, it's my favourite gag of the show. Love your stuff!
Honestly, I would listen to anything you enjoy making videos about. It's the sort of thing where you've proven your credibility as a comedian and intelligent writer, which is rare, so I'll watch anything. Not worried about ATLA ending, even though it's been the backbone of the theme.
you should do Full metal alchemist if you have the time, i think that would be amazing
Over analyzing anime? That way you can have many different series going at once or the ability to just pivot to another anime when one is finished

I think Korra has potential. I can completely see how it would really depend on your feelings on it - it's got a really different feel to it, and I can completely understand how some people dislike it. But I found it enjoyable for somewhat different reasons than the original series, so I'd probably follow along if you went there. Whereas there are a lot of other properties I probably wouldn't tag along to (except for One Punch Man, I'd follow you there, and I think it would allow for a similar vibe). In any case, thanks for the great ride! I have supported other creators which clearly got into a rut/hole on content, so perhaps look at the definite endpoint as a gift rather than a problem? Perhaps take a few months off and then reflect on whether it's a "want to" or a "have to"?

I don't know if the length would really make things longer. I feel like the overanalyzing series is mostly done from a position of love, like how you talk about a sibling or other loved one, and the movie maybe doesn't live in that space. For myself, I'm sure I could find a few things in the movie to talk about with love, but it would be REALLY hard for me to hold my tongue on many other parts, and I don't know if responding to those other parts would result in an attractive video. Does that make sense?
Would overananalyzing the ATLA movie be split into multiple videos since it's so long, or do you think that you'd be able to squeeze it all into one? I'm fine either way, just curious. I think underanalyzing would be a fun series to have drop in between other video series. Personally really enjoyed the ones you've put out so far.

Overanalyzing Legend of Korra
Kidtruck91
Overanalyzing got would be intresting. Doing it to completion would be forever though.
How can you Overanalyse Shyamalan's Last Airbender? THE MOVE DOES NOT EXIST! IT HAS NEVER BEEN MADE!
Shawn McAteer
I like the first few choices, underanalyzing book 2&3 needs to happen asap imo. GoT not so much but not fully opposed to it. Would def love Korra as well.
Steve_Ross
Thank you for the amazing videos
Korra would be cool
Ototo
You could change the channel name to "overanalyzing" and do content on whatever media you like!
StudioTrash
excited for whatever u decide to do man!
Matacoyo
GAME OF THRONES (a collab with Alt Schwit X?), Korra isn't worth doing since it has more plot holes than swiss cheese
I‘d personally love an OA LOK and Shyamalans‘s movie but all other ideas are cool too :)
