You explained Amon’s creepiness perfectly. When i first watched this series i was genuinely terrified of Amon because he was so calm that he clearly had this whole thing planned out far in advance, which meant any plan the heroes could come up with had likely already been prepared for by Amon, and there was no telling what his endgame really was, especially once we found out who he really is.
