This is one of the few episodes I think Zhu Li's voice actor really got to shine. She only had a couple lines the whole episode but they all really popped! Listen to 4:07, she does a really good job pronouncing the panicked emotion.

I’m pretty sure Bolin mentioned having known about the education camps when he confronted Kuvira. He just didn’t realize the nature of the education camps.

I mean toph is like the ultimate sltealth artist if she can sense everyone around her to avoid, but I mean yeah she crusty and old now so wtf

I just feel bad for the Sky Bison. With all the tech advancements this show flaunts, surely something as simple as Veterinarians exist.

I just got so sad we almost done aren’t we 😭😭😭

I'm surprised he didn't mention the resemblance to the "Heavy Gustaf" Hitler's massive weapon made for mass destruction in WW2. In the show and real life, the cannon/weapon are almost identical, both using two sets of railroads to move and the size being relatively the same.

10:25 I don't hear it. Have you considered the possibility that you might be a bison?

Rip the actress who played suyin
Fabian Röling
1:54 The person who can feel people approaching around corners? Yes.

Yeah don't worry I have a whole diatribe planned about that

Annoying boomer man-child Toph made this episode harder to sit through

Love that we got another toph censor

Bryke tried to make up for all the characters being boring and shit by constantly introducing new ones, the only success story being Varrick

Does anyone get the feeling they added too many characters to Korra? It feels like we have a lot of characters we’re supposed to care about, from Korra’s Team Avatar, to Tenzin and his kids, to the Beifong family, even Kai and the other airbenders. That’s not even mentioning how we have to care about Kuvira as a villain. ATLA had team Avatar, Zuko and Iroh, and Team Firelord + Azula. You could make the small case of Hakoda, but altogether it’s like 11 characters that we care about in ATLA vs like 20 in Korra. It just feels really bloated, and like you said, it makes the timing of these character moments disconnected from the story. I just think if you stick to Korra’s Team Avatar, Tenzin, and Lin, you could have a stronger, centralized cast that we truly care about, instead of half-heartedly caring about like 20 characters.

Bolin actually does say he knew about the reeducation camps; he just didn’t know what their purpose was. Which is probably equally as ridiculous lmao

They really had the world be flooded with infinite spirits and couldn't come up with a single thing for them to do

And here I was thinking “I’m so clever” for coming up with a Bon Jovi reference 🤦♂️

I appreciate you skipping the payoff for the Bon Jovi bit so that we’d have to go watch the actual video in order to see it. But if you ever blue ball me like that again, man, I swear to god
Desert Espada
Oh god I really hope that line about 3D animated characters and bending ages poorly
