The last bit of that statement is such a brain bender. The fact that everything we associate with and blame the Web for could be entirely made up and is a fabrication of our own uncertainty and we are feeding it of our own "free will". Magnificent story telling. Love this series!

This episode was very cathartic, to hear Jon say he behaved like that of his own free will. It gave weight to the nameless woman's statement and it (correctly) placed the vilification on Jon.

This is such an amazing episode; I was shook for days. The voice acting alone is *outstanding*, but the statement itself is top tier too, and the post-statement is harrowing in the BEST way and will make me never look at the Archivist the same way again. I was so unsettled I had totally forgotten the bit before the statement until my first relisten, but that had some great bits as well, both funny and seriously creepy. This goes straight onto my top three list of favourite episodes. (How does this show just get better? And HOW can you fit THIS MUCH narrative into less than 25 minutes?!)

I'm not sure who read these but I have to say first off, Bravo to Jonny Sims for his acting in this episode. I know the Archivist usually takes the characterizations of the statements he reads, but for some reason, this time it was almost as if the statement possessed him and he was the unwilling vessel. There have been some scary episodes but I have never been as horrified with an episode as I was listening to this one. I could almost feel the webs winding themselves around the Archivist as he read could imaging the tiny eyes of Annabelle's "spies" watching him read this. And the end...it didn't get any better and then The Archivist admitted he liked taking the statements... None of this is going to end up with a good ending. Just...bravo to both Rusty Quills and Jon for terrifying the living hell out of us.

I literally had to hug my dog after this one and then listen to funny podcasts. The last time I was this unsettled was right after watching Hereditary. Before that was after seeing Blue Velvet when it was in theaters. That’s it. Also now I feel old. It’s been a looong time since Blue Velvet came out. All I can say is F**k Heineken - Pabst Blue Ribbon, man!

This was spectacular and brutal. And, honestly, so on the nose for me personally, that I'm very tempted to accuse you of basing Annabelle's mother and father on my own parents. But that would be ridiculous, of course, unless the Eye is real, and knows everything about us. o_o
