I don't know how every episode this season is better than the last, loved to get more history from Gertrude's time and more old archival assistants. Not to mention, I love Martin asking the hard but also sweetly normal questions, he is the levity and the love we need in this scary season!

Also feeling a sense of foreboding... Gertrude had a web aligned assistant she never paid mind to the machinations of until too late, per this statement. Martin’s sitting there with all his web-qualities that Jon doesn’t seem to notice... I have FEAR.

Backstory, backstory, I love backstory!! Every time Michael the assistant gets mentioned it breaks my heart all over again. I love Martin being Jon's reason and him coaxing him into saying it but yes it puts me on edge as well, what will happen if something happens to his reason? I just love all these twists and turns the story is taking us this season, so interesting!

I’m having horrible suspicions of foreshadowing. Martin is the only thing keeping John from losing his mind and going full-time Full Metal Archivist™️. This is so sad. There's one good thing for them in this nightmare world: their love for and trust in one another. And it's being chipped away, little by little. Martin's domain is the Lonely, of course, and I'm not sure Jon will be able to help him escape it when they face it again. *sniffles*

This was really good, and quite sad. This season has been very good at balancing these statements with humor that isn't at all "jokey" or forced. Very interesting to learn more about the past assistants. I really feel like each episode is better than the last
