Happy Monday from us at Rusty Towers! We hope you’re all managing to keep safe and well in this new year.
One small piece of admin from us, as we’ve noticed that there is a display issue with Patreon that erroneously shows us having met all of our new milestones if you’re not logged in to the site. We’ve raised this with them and hopefully it will be fixed soon.
With the return of The Magnus Archives last week, we’re now locked on course for the finale. Just ten episodes remain, as we get ready to find out what it’s all been building to – what sights will we See? What strands of questioning are left to follow? What answers are we chasing through the twisting darkness? How will it End?
In recognition of this special event, we believe that folks should tune into this one together on Thursday 25th March 2021, to share in whatever Jonny has in store for us… This means that there will be no early access release of MAG200 that week – it seems appropriate that everyone gets to listen to it at the same time, and by announcing this now it clarifies things for anyone who wants to make plans for this finale date.
As for what comes after… well, this is your opportunity to tell us what you want. We’ve got some plans for what bonus content will follow the show – not least of which will be the Q&A episodes (mailbag to open in March) – but is there anything specific about the show’s production that you’d like to hear us talk about? Put your suggestions in the comments below and we’ll pass them on to the production team.
With regards to other plans, you can also expect some more merch to be available, and we’re just finalising things on some very special designs that I’m looking forward to sharing with you soon!
Reminder also that this Saturday at 4pm GMT, we will be marking the one year anniversary of RQ Streams, as Mike and I take on Dream Daddy for more chaotic dating sim shenanigans! Join us for birthday fun, laughs galore, and maybe even a surprise…
In other show news, casting for Inexplicables – our Patreon-exclusive six-part supernatural comedy – is almost complete! Production is about to start in earnest, and showrunner/director Maddy Searle is raring to go on this exciting project.

For Q&A: Did Jonny learn anything about himself when writing the Magnus Archives? Also was there anything challenging when writing the scripts that he didn’t expect or was it straight forward? How did the other characters find their voice?
i'd love to hear how you guys imagined the layout of the institute, especially the archives! where jon's office was in relation to the archives proper, etc!!
