The Protection From Energy spell essentially negates 120 points of fire damage — exactly the amount Wilde would have taken. That spell is expended, but Wilde will have been completely untouched.

I've forgotten all the details of the protection spells. I believe he has temporary hit points, but does he have enough even with those? He could have made a reflex save and taken half damage, but bards aren't the beefiest of classes. I'm clinging to hope though.

GOSH. What a fantastic episode. So many good moments, either badass or nail-biting, such amazing energy from everyone, and the dice know... the dice know... it's just so fun seeing all the running gags finally happen in the extended finale! Congrats Lydia and Helen on finally beating the dice (in very different ways.) and congrats Ben and Bryn in getting to show off so many new unique feats and spells! It's going to be a lot saying goodbye to this show and no longer having new episodes to look forward to, but it will have gone out gloriously. No matter what happens next week exactly, it'll all have been an amazing ride and a final stop with fireworks (that spell out "Wilde Is Fine"). This finale has been fantastic, feels fittingly epic (I keep getting LotR vibes!!!) and tense but remains so, so fun. I'm so happy that the penultimate episode, too, ended in an "ALEXANDER!!!!!!!!!" cliffhanger. Thanks, guys, and see you next week! I'd put in a crying salute meme, but I'm not crying yet, just grinning and hitting play again.

Oh this episode is fascinating and edited really well— I am extremely curious about how events lined up to have the blend of roleplay and dramatic tension work so well. Narratively, I hope Wilde is awake and still flying to keep zolf and the array from plummeting because YIKES. How many towers in London is Rusty Towers going to destroy in their podcasts??
