Had to bite my knuckles when I Connected The Dots (before getting confirmation) ;_; Oh, Siva… I love how, even during all his chatters, he kept noticing oddities! He’s so used to noticing his surroundings, but he keeps assuming the best of people… absolutely LOVED the atmosphere of the walk with Siva&Mary and the discomfort creeping in <3 Sobbing about Noor being rational about Siva’s best interests vs. feelings they might harbour for him… and not giving Siva the words he wanted to hear – yes, Noor would feel pride for him, but would they only feel that? As Baker had explained, people are complicated, and we got another example with Anh – who wanted the bite and the spark and the rebellion in Alestes, to feel like she would be winning a fight, but is taking no pleasure when Alestes is acting indifferent towards her. (And meanwhile, Inez… doesn’t want his little group to dissolve, uh ;_; She complains and rants, but she’s making a home too!) Aaaaah, I love them all!

Catching up with a full relisten before the finale and DAAAAAMN, THIS EPISODE! My jaw dropped multiple times as pieces I'd picked up upon relistening suddenly slammed into place, starry eyed, anxious, thrilled, and also my ears so charmed with the soundscaping and voice acting this episode again. Such a vibrant gallery of characters, and that scene of Noor and Inez... woof. ;_;

I GASPED OUT LOUD… oh wow what a packed episode, i’m gonna have to listen again and really enjoy everyone’s performances once the juicy plot points have had time to sink in a little. i’m sitting at work sighing “[character name], darling…” every time there’s a pause in dialogue… love love love this story so much, i can’t believe you’ve all converted me into a pirate lover, nothing in this genre has ever captivated me like this before! i feel like i’m learning so many cool historical and cultural tidbits 🥰 F in chat for both siva and anh btw, i am groaning in sympathy
