Very excited for this!!! However, i do have to second a lot of the other comments about the high-pitched background sound - it is currently a situation in which I have to choose between lowering the volume to being barely audible, or being in active pain to try to listen to it. Definitely understand it being a stylistic choice, but if it does end up being in the final cut, would it be possible to perhaps get a second, more accessible/less painful version? Either way, cannot wait for January and the full release of the show!!

I get what you’re saying about this being one of those blended/edge cases… Mag 27 always seemed like a Lonely/Spiral team up to me. But I’m more inclined to see it as a Flesh/ Stranger combo, as to me the death and loneliness are less of a focus for the fear.

EDIT: FUCK WAIT SHIT. I think that the JMJ in the System (seen at the end of this post and in the trailer(?) is Jon, Martin, and Jonah, the three people who were tied to the eye at the end of TMA, which means I do think the third voice in the machine we haven't heard is Jonah Magnus? Wanted to add this here Original Comment: I'm very eager to see more. There's hundreds of little questions and theories I can think of. The biggest is who on earth the third voice in the computer is. (I assume it has to be Elias? Especially with the fancy name that Alice gave them, it fits the way he speaks?). Beyond that, Sam seems to be the only person to check that one-to-one box when applying to the OIAP, which is why I think we're hearing through the computers now of all times. (Made himself an employee of the Response organization by accident? More closely tied to the Eye/the computer program?) Even the format of these new statements intrigues me. If they're all online records and emails as opposed to active statements, then I expect we'll see more smaller dialogues across each episode rather than a single major statement like TMA. That said, they're all quite eloquent, and I'm curious if it's the people who wrote them 'making a statement' like how in TMA people spoke clearly when giving a story. Or, it could be that the voices on the computer are speaking for them a bit? (I love that Jon and Martin's voices get more emotional and into it as they go, similar to how the Archivist once did)

We know Elias in TMA was not actually himself, but here the Institute burned down, meaning that this could be an alternate Elias or their kid, and never got into stuff? Or a distant relative? Hell, everyone in this premiere is clearly hiding secrets, and it's already getting me very paranoid

Stranger/End blend, do you think? We know from TMA that statements and fears aren't really ever just *one* of the categories, and the OIAP has an enormous binder for every possible category atm. In my opinion it's definitely Stranger/End, with an undertone of Lonely/Flesh due to the isolation of the Statement-giver and the Piecemeal aspect of the being they saw.

I think it was unintentional, as for me I could choose to ignore it? Like I can depressurize my ears a bit without issue (similar to when going in an airplane) and it got a lot worse. It became inaudible when I did the opposite, so I didn't have issues after the first minute. I assume that older people/some specific people can hear it better or worse than others?

From my kid: "Having listened to the episode I really like the plot, characters, and other stuff but found the background noise really unpleasant. I thought it was worth noting that I am 15 and can hear it however my parents can't, so it's possible whoever is putting this together also cant hear the background noise as clearly as some of the listeners."

I love this already! The subtle detail of the John/Martin voices going from text to speech basically to normal va is making me feral in my seat.. Only thing is the CRT noise can get a bit hard to listen to. Like the idea a lot but I agree with some people that it can get uncomfortable. I’m so excited to see this story and fanbase grow I love it so much RAAAHHHHHH💕💕💕

I am confused on one thing On the audio + info here it referes to the character Alex voices as "neil", but i dowloaded the transcript yesterday and that character is reffered to as Norris. Is that some sort of typo somewhere? The voice is refered to as Norris more than once, which is confusing, because again, in the episode itself they are called Neil

Very curious to see what's up with "Neil and Chester". Since they and the computer system seem to be taking the place of the tapes, I can only wonder as to whether or not they are trapping the office in a web of sorts. Though I doubt Jon and Martin are now trapped in a computer, I really hope we get to see them again, and that just maybe they get a second chance.

And speaking of the office, I'm surprised how quickly I took to the characters. We meet a lot of folks this episode compared to Archives' steady trickle, and yet I can already attach each voice to a name and vibe. Alice is immediately my favorite, as I can relate to being a sarcastic trans girl with no love for their (probably evil) monotonous job. I like Sam, Colin has my sympathy, Gwen is someone to keep an eye on, especially considering her surname, and one can only hope that Lena is a regular bad boss and not a big bad boss.

Listened twice now and UGH, I am already in love again. The new music is just, so genuinely unnerving. The Archives' theme felt like something beckoning, trying to hook you in to something that is *wrong*. Protocol's theme feels far more like a dread warning, a blunt statement that we now know just how bad the Magnus Institute is, and we can only hope the civil service workers of the OIAR will make it out okay.

This is absolutely FANTASTIC! It feels so familiar yet fresh and intriguing! The new theme with the older computers and operating systems is so cool! The sounds of it brings back memories haha. Some of the sound effects are a bit uncomfortable to listen to, but I kinda like it? It's disturbing but in a weird way I enjoy it. The music is insanely good, I can't imagine how stunning the big piece will sound! The cast did such an amazing work, very excited to hear more of them! Also thank you for the Q&A, it's heartwarming and so so awesome to see this universe once again coming back to life. P.S. as an illustrator and character designer I just wanna say I FEEL YOU APRIL blender is a piece of cake until you start to render, then it takes ages and crashes everything. The whole cast? Tasty A.F. (As for the CRT whine and the thunk-thunk of early physical hard drives and floppies: I grew up on those noises, so they don't bother me. But in real life those sounds sort of blend into the background, so if they have to be toned down for the sake of accessibility, it would also increase the realism. Just my 2 cents.)

I cherish everyone who is only just now finding out about Bonzo. The reaction to him in the Statement Remains ARG server was so good and I'm glad you all get to go through it too. Absolutely jaw dropping stuff - I remember loads of us were sure we were being trolled and the ARG was being hijacked because *surely the crap not*, right? Like, surely RQ did not create this creature? We were all delirious from a clue drought and it hit like a freight train. The concept of RQ staff having to sit there and design him.
