Seconding (or thirding) this. I listen on earbuds in a noisy environment, and can understand most speaking but when it's pitched to be on the /other side of the room/ it's very difficult to make out. I understand the effect being something like a bug or hidden mic or even just their computers listening to them, but I think there's many who'd appreciate a bit clearer audio!

hot DAMN this episode's casement-statement was amazing! Not gonna lie, I was a bit worried about the cases being written by guest writers I don't know (vs already knowing I like Jonny's stuff), but this was completely my jam and gorgeous -- adding Ain't Slayed Nobody on my list to check out for sure!! Loved Ryan's performance in Cry Havoc!, and he was a show-stealer in this ep too, Colin's well on his way to earning a fan favourite spot >:D Though I really liked the final interaction too (intriguing!!). Gwen & Alice have such an interesting dynamic, on the surface they're at each other's throat but they're never actually as sharply <i>mean</i> as they could be, Gwen did remain patient and Alice did relent and do a nice thing eventually... I wonder how long they've each been working at the OIAR? If there's only 3 employees in the team, has it been just the two of them sticking through and watching their colleagues come and go for years? Will note that the break room soundscaping maks it quite hard to hear conversations, though :p thanks for the transcripts! And most importantly: so, Sam has little stick legs to go along with his canonical noodle arms. Duly noted.

Loved this episode so much as someone who's favorite alignment from Archives was Corruption! I agree that the previous categories probably won't be as applicable anymore but will still echo them. I saw a new theory circling that there may be a recategorization- instead of fears its "desires" or "hungers" since every episode so far has heavily revolved around the subject's personal wants and how it manifested into horror

I can't help but notice how in two of the statements the person stops being scared of the things happening and starts embracing it rather heavily so. Also interested in how choice is being used in the serise so far. Great episode! Also I love Alice and Colin so much their dynamic is *chefs kiss*

one thing i have been thinking with the incidents so far is that there seems to be a LOT of overlap and mixed influence of multiple entities.... maybe they have been a bit tangled together? or swirled, i guess, to maintain the colour metaphor

I love this piece of the acting. It’s phenomenal. It produces a very different deal from the Archivist instantly switching. Yet because the lines leading up to the casement aren’t from Jonathan or Martin, that brief transition basically serves the same role as the switch flip with the statements. Which I find exceptionally cool. Same job, different feel.

Also: -Interesting to see the DPHW presented only extra-textually. This contributes to them being a completely optional puzzle to try and reverse engineer Alex’s system -We know Dr Webber can’t be recurring because his name is Sam -Yes, hi, jmj, I heard you there the first time, I’m just thinking about the new stuff, mkay? -Seriously Sam, don’t joke about eating keyboards.

Fantastic episode again. Really enjoyed it. The continued exploration of the different things the casements afford is a lot of fun to listen to. And a lot of details that may be incidental and well … well, I’ve been trained to listen closely to names of people and places. Interesting to see Gwen’s predicaments; it feels like she’s under parallel pressures and expectations to those Elias faced, but took the perfectionist route through them. It does make me feel for her, though I love Alice as well. Very interesting to keep seeing Alice in different contexts and how she feels different one-on-one with her colleagues. I’m looking forward to seeing what she’s after stirring things up with IT and her apparent frustration being stuck working all the time. A different vibe from her previous “time isn’t real” comment. Another commenter made a Gertrude comparison, which I’ll keep in mind. Several people have commented on the break room conversation. It was audible to me with headphones on, but it was up high enough that the music crashed in almost painfully loud. It’s clear you’re trying to communicate distance between the microphone and the characters, which seems to be a recurring scenario.

Great episode! But I agree with some of the other comments that the sound in the breakroom scenes is very hard to comprehend, I had to rely on the transcripts. I hope that this gets fixed in later episodes :(

I do love the show, but the break room section was almost unintelligible to me. I could barely follow what was going on because the audio was so unclear. Could I humbly request to dial back the echo effect somewhat for future episodes?
