Wouldn’t this be somewhere else’s Celia, though? I mean, there should be two Celias, right? Edit.: (TMA SPOILERS) ohhhhh she’s the one who lost her name in the eyepocalypse. But Lynne 1 and Lynne 2 could still be similar enough to choose the same alias, imo. I hope this means more Agnes lore, though!

True, Needles’ actual alignment is currently up for interpretation, as we’ve only had this episode to get a read on him so far. 😊 I went with Slaughter, because he seems mainly interested in inflicting the fear of violence/pain on his victims, rather than warping their bodies in gruesome ways (like the Flesh or Corruption), or aiming for the destruction of things or people that are cherished by others (like the Desolation). Although, I sense there’s also a touch of Hunt in him, as well, I feel like his main alignment is Slaughter. But, that may change as we, hopefully, learn more about him. 😊

I'd have to wonder if it's Slaugher. Maybe Flesh in the deformation aspect? And certainly Desolation is an option (damn I hate the Desolation)? Eh, exiting to find out how it goes :)

OKAY, now that I’ve relistened what feels like several dozen times, more coherent review: 1) immediately in love with Celia, she’s so precious and good-humored! Lowri’s nailing it. and i can already tell Sam is so excited to have someone new around 🥺 so looking forward to more of their cute banter. this is really bringing back memories of my many years working nights, oof. 2) i find it so interesting how utterly dismissive Gwen is of Celia compared to how she treated Sam when he first started. i think it will be fun to see them one on one later, find out what their dynamic can shape into. 3) wow, Joe Bence’s voice is more familiar than i expected it to be. GREAT debut for speaking part — the exasperation of it all, lmao — and i hope we hear more of him :) if not in this then in other productions! gonna go look him up. 4) i wasn’t scared of needles before this but i may be persuaded. if they STAYED in the guy after their “cuddle” then i guess they come off? does Needles just continuously regrow them like sharks teeth? fascinating… 5) superb sound design (AS ALWAYS) it’s really helping me visualize what everyone’s doing, how they’re moving and interacting with each other. and of course Needles’ sound design was ridiculously fun, I hope it was as fun to create as it was to listen to. And that we get a little more of it someday :3 High hopes, given what Alice said about closure — that sounds like foreshadowing to ME, but then a lot of what she says sounds like foreshadowing just all the time. Accidental prophetess Alice ftw??? 6) I will now be completely unable to stop thinking of Lena as Big Bird, thanks. 7) Alice’s evil little laugh when Sam mentioned steering clear of Colin… your honor, I love her. actually her relationship with Sam got SOOOO much love this episode and I adore it. friendly exes is my most beloved trope. and for the record as a former nights worker she’s so correct about the blackout curtains, UGH. (unfortunately I’m with Sam on the caffeine until you die agenda, never did manage to kick that. Alice is right and I would know. but i will not change😭) This episode has seriously got my hamster wheel brain going all hours, GUH, the week between now and new episode feels SO LONG… kudos guys… TMP is truly a podcast👌👌👌

Needles is giving Michael Distortion vibes in the BEST way!!! Obviously more Slaughter aligned than Spiral, but otherwise spot on! I’m more than a little obsessed already!!! 😍 Also, CELIA?!!! Please be the same Celia from the original series! 🤩 (Also, Sam’s crush on her is cute. I’m hoping it doesn’t end miserably for either of them, but knowing this series, that’s a tall ask. 🥲)

Really delightful episode! I’m so excited to have Lowri joining us. I’ve been really looking forward to Celia’s story since the casting announcement. (And the implications! Maybe more Helen and Anil???) Loving Celia’s last name; I hope it means you’ll give us some time with her before she goes kayaking. Needles is wonderful, and we got a great introduction here of why Jonny said he’s his favorite to write. Very much resonates with Nikola’s joyful energy while also being very different.
