late and metagaming a little here, but just saw a tumblr post by Anusia (Gwen VA) saying that, as discussed in the post launch stream, Gwen's DND class would be "Warlock who doesn't know she's a Warlock and takes a bunch of levels in Wizard". if her going to Lena in this episode is the taking a bunch of levels in Wizard, then maybe the Bouchard family in this universe (or wherever we are) is something akin to the Lukas family in Archives? Although that might line up more with Sorcerer than Warlock, which implies this is something closer to a pact - maybe she's already associated with a fear but is unaware, in a way that's not bloodline related? much to consider here

oooh really good points!! i forgot that she had gotten stuck in the spiral, the entity which thrives on discord and things as they aren’t, and which often poses as a friend in order to sow that confusion. could this Celia be an avatar of the spiral, having leaked into the world of tmp somehow? she seems pretty charismatic and friendly compared to her previous, more withdrawn appearances, which would fit with what we’ve seen of spiral avatars in the past. and seeing as Michael literally became Helen because of sheer desperation for Jon to understand what Gertrude did to him, it’s not unbelievable that Celia would be drawn to this place following the eyepocalypse. god you have the gears in my brain turning so fast rn!

Yeah, seems like they want to set up the basis of the relationship between TMA and TMP sooner rather than later and then deal with the ramifications of the plot. I kinda like that. Much more interesting than making the high note of TMP be a reveal about TMA; this lets it be its own story.

Wow, that was an incredible episode. Celia definitely knows too much and that’s suspicious. But I don’t think she willingly went through the hole in reality at the end of TMA. Why would she when the world was recovering? I’m wondering instead if TMP and TMA have the “same” character (e.g. two versions of Celia) and they have gained or shared memories or feelings they don’t understand.

What an episode. This is fantastic. So now we are sure that TMP!Celia is TMA!Celia. We also got some good confirmation about Chester being Jon and all that. Gwen is sure to shed some light in the workings of the universe in the next episodes too. As for the statement: Someone is trying to recreate a Jon situation where people experience all the fears at once? And on hilltop road too. Makes me wonder if they are trying or even succeeding on jumping universes?
