I doubt Celia has good memories of Helen, considering she tried to eat Celia at one point (mentioned in episode 190 by Melanie). 😅 However, I’m guessing Celia is just trying to find any/all names of people from the TMA universe, to see if their counterparts from this world can help in any way. Or maybe to see if there are any other plane-hoppers like her? (Maybe she didn’t find out that Helen was killed?) I’m still not sure what Celia’s ultimate goal is, yet, so it’s hard to discern her motives at the moment. But I imagine she at least wants help with her sleep teleporting issue.

Interesting that Celia was looking into Helen. The Distortion was already destroyed when we “met” Celia properly in TMA, but I vaguely recall a conversation about Helen at some point in London…? Did Celia think Helen could be an ally, or does she just know Helen as an important figure? I’ll have to re-listen to those episodes keeping an ear out for that.

Commenting again 'cause I've been thinking... the feeling of slow, aching dread over teaholding feels reminiscent of when NotThem took Sasha, and I didn't know she was dead for nearly a full season. She was my favorite character, and I wanted her to be alive and okay. But, by the time we found out she wasn't, I'd been in it for so long that I was almost relieved, if only because I finally knew what happened, that I could mourn her, and that I didn't need to any longer.

I had to write another comment bc my phone went crazy. I loved this episode and I really like the direction towards body horror you are taking. I also loved the description of whatever creature is helping Gwen. The presence of the tape recorder makes me think of Jon, of course, but I'm open to anything you will throw at us since, at the moment, I can't imagine why he specifically would help her. Brilliant episode! Excited to see where it goes. I also love how the “lie-glitch” is used here - both for showing that Celia knows more than she lets on, as well as for calling Gwen out. Small suggestion though: would you be so kind as to add self-harm to the trigger warnings of this episode? I’m aware Alesis only cuts herself for the purposes of growing her new self, but the way it’s described is very reminiscent of SH. Thank you!
