I assume Jared Smith was this timeline's version of Jared Hopworth? Fitness coach named Jared, destroying his own body through compulsion? Familiar. If that's the case, then the Archivist has killed Jared twice now. I guess Hopworth's plot role is being filled by ink5oul now, with this whole season being about body dysmorphia and meat and whatnot.

The three worlds (TMA, TMP, and our world) seem to proceed on the same timeline, so it’s the same year in all three. You may recall that Alice said in the first episode that Chester, Norris, and Augustus only started talking about a year or so previously, after the climax of TMA. Ergo, the Fears only landed in the Protocolverse after 2020, and everything before that is the native powers of the Protocolverse, which seem to be Hungers, but have some overlap. I suspect that the Protocol Archivist’s power may be based on on the desire for knowledge, rather than the fear of being watched.

hearing celia interact with helen after knowing in the other universe helen distortion tried to eat celia, so the fear in her voice upon meeting this universes “normal helen” is so fun. PLUS hearing helen not traumatized by being trapped in the endless hallways of a new door and her sounding and acting exactly like helen distortion did (especially the laugh!!) is insane to me and im obsessed with her all over again
