I agree with rem. The thing with music like that is that because it’s popularized on platforms like tik tok it’s easily watered down and you lose the quality the heart and the soul of the art form. It’s like in dance where now the standard for dance is tik tok dances that have no heart or soul and have 15 sec of fame. It’s a slap in the face for dancers that have been doing this for decades and don’t get the credit and then get compared to tik toks. Now, I agree with James you’re allowed to just enjoy mainstream music or music without meaningful lyrics (like it depends what you’re looking for) but I think where the idea of it being a problem might arise is that then that becomes the standard and the art part of it is lost to the capitalization of it. It becomes just about making money and content versus making something that lasts and matters and actually says something.

I feel like if two people have been on the decline and expected to end things, it wouldn’t be that upsetting that the other has a new partner after a week. However, if the break up was initiated by the guy and he’s got a new girl in a week, I’m assuming that the last 3-4 months he’s been pretending or finding a way to leave while he starts a new relationship. If there was no indication he seemed checked out then it started off as cheating and grew to more most likely because the new girl wants to be official so he has cut it. If a girl has a new relationship in a week, I’d assume she’s been checked out long before then and eventually someone has emotionally taken her interest so she wants to pursue it and now physically leave as to just mentally be checked out and wait for it to end.

On the smoking topic. I'm an EMT and last week I had a call for a pregnant mom with abdominal pains. Staff from the drug rehab she is staying at called 911 for her and we picker her up from there. She is 6 months pregnant (so obviously she's showing belly and she said she's seeing doctors already), and 3 weeks clean from crystal meth. That means for over FIVE MONTHS this lady was pregnant and smoking crystal meth.
