Thanks! Yeah I showed the previous version to a friend of mine and they said basically the same thing. At that point I knew I should change Mel's dialogue lol. I definitely agree it works a lot better like this!

I was a lil cheeky before in my prior comment, but I really love the update to Mel's dialogue! I feel like it sounds more natural, and removes any feeling of the strip forcing or stretching the joke. And instead of Mel collaborating towards the punchline, she becomes victim to it. Now it feels like it's purely Lester being Lester.
