Japan is very "old fashioned" in a lot of ways when it comes to how business works as we might call it in the West. Face to face meetings are highly valued. But in the light of the pandemic and the general march of time, is the need to travel between Osaka and Tokyo (for high value passengers, because let's face it, those will be the users) going to be seen as necessary by 2027, let alone 2037? It might already be a dead duck by the time it's finished.
