Exclusive: Nestbox - Easy Linux VMs for Pixel 6+
🕑 Added 2022-11-07 08:49:01 +0000 UTCNestbox is an app that makes it easy to run Linux VMs on the Pixel 6 (with root) and 7 (without root).

Features
- Easy to use: You get Linux containers; the app takes care of the details, like WSL 2 and Chrome OS.
- Shared folders for integration with Android
- Run servers with port forwarding and auto start-on-boot
- Attach USB devices (flash drives, keyboard/mouse, another phone, etc.)
- Boots in 5 seconds, automatically adjusts to only take as much disk space as you use
- Low battery usage (average ~0.005% idle CPU usage with 3 distros)
- Supported distros: Alpine, Arch, NixOS, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, Kali, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Void, AlmaLinux, Amazon Linux, Apertis, Devuan, Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux
- Terminal is based on Termux with UX improvements: tab gestures, compact toolbar, D-pad, haptic feedback, follows system theme, smooth keyboard animation, font and theme

I was using Nestbox daily with no problems. Fantastic work! After update to 14 Nestbox has not worked. I have tried to reinstall it, but my Pixel 7 Pro is no longer supported. I do not want a refund. Hoping the mad scientist is able to invest more time into Nestbox. 😁
Fairly certain changes in Android 14 are preventing virtualization access due to changes in the selinux policy or handling surrounding /dev/kvm. From what I've done to troubleshoot. Pixel 7 pro. October official Android 14 update and no root.
