Per Sam’s question about Maya being real or not, she was a composite character or a group of women in the CIA, namely one specific woman, who were hunting Bin Laden. That group, and the aforementioned woman in particular, are a big part of The Looming Tower which I again will heavily recommend!!!

Love this movie. Pretty accurate but for the Kuwaiti club scene. I HIGHLY recommend The Looming Tower on Hulu. 10 episode mini series about the lead up to 9/11. Very accurate, insanely maddening, and overall just an amazing tv show. Would love to see you react to that one.

Jessica's (Jennifer Ehle's character) death was portrayed in this movie as if it happened because she was overly excited at the prospect of a mole. In reality, the mole/doctor was already "trustworthy" at this point. The guy was essentially a triple agent. He was giving real information that led to actual results. The guy was playing the long game. So when he's coming in for the meeting, they waved off the usual procedures (for the exact same reasons as it was in the movie) and we see what happens.
