Oh I'm not good with scary either, but this one's nowhere near the level of gory violence as Oldboy.

I missed entering this month’s drawing 😞

Congrats, Daniel! I can't watch anything scary, so I'll have to sit this one out. Fingers crossed that I win next month!

It’s dark, but great!

Congrats Daniel, I've never heard of this movie but the spin wheel selection has never failed me! (Except that I never win) - Looking forward to watching The Handmaiden.

This will be my second film by this director, the first being Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (which was very dark, but very good) so I am very much looking forward to this one! Congrats Daniel!

Woohooo! Hope you enjoy the movie!
Guston Zimasheen
Congratulations Daniel. Looking forward to the reaction.

Foreign Film poll = Foreign Language film poll(there has been one poll each year for the last 4 years and none of the titles on those polls were English language, much like the Oscars - the category was called foreign language film until 2020) I was the patron who first suggested a Foreign Film poll because there were virtually no non English language films on the channel at the time. I think it should remain that way, don't you? I see you listed 3 English language films. FYI City of God and Downfall barely lost to Run Lola Run last time, I would hate for something like The Full Monty to beat them in a poll(the foreign film polls usually have less than other polls, i recall a few patrons actually saying they don't like to read subtitles when watching a movie:)

While we're here, going to throw out my recommendations for the foreign film poll: • [France] The City of Lost Children (1995) dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amelie) and Marc Caro • [South Korea] Decision to Leave dir. Park Chan Wook (Oldboy -- although you may hold off given he's also the director of The Handmaiden) • [Japan] Drive My Car (2021) dir. Ryusuke Hamaguchi • [Ireland] Extra Ordinary (2019) dir. Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman • [France] La Haine (1995) dir. Mathieu Kassovitz (who you've seen as an actor as Amelie's quirky photo-collecting crush) • [China] Hero (2002) dir. Zhang Yimou • [Japan] High and Low (1963) dir. Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai) -- remade this year by Spike Lee as Highest 2 Lowest • [Japan] House (1977) dir. Nobuhiko Obayashi • [Hong Kong] The Killer (1989) dir. John Woo • [South Korea] Memories of Murder (2003) dir. Bong Joon Ho (Parasite) • [United Kingdom] Peeping Tom (1960) dir. Michael Powell • [New Zealand] The Piano (1993) dir. Jane Campion • [France] PlayTime (1967) dir. Jacques Tati -- a bit of a "deep-end" pick but a wonderful and visually stunning feast that I would liken to a living "Where's Waldo?" book • [Australia] Proof (1991) dir. Jocelyn Moorhouse
