This is one of the main reasons why i wanted to join. But still no answer on what to do with the money once its in brokerage account. It will still just sit there. Unless you buy stocks/index. So how is that different than a savings/checking?

I stopped keeping money in the bank finally back in 2015, best decision I ever made. As far as loans, I don't take them uninformed, but do utilize them as needed, i don't do "consumer debt" beyond cars and that's only if I can pay it off in two years.

I appreciate the content. I was considering a high yield savings account but it seems it's best to have an emergency fund and invest the rest properly.

I would say. Keep your expenses for the month in checking. As long as you have enough for the month and you got an emergency fund, everything else is invested (Roth Ira, Brokerage account, 401k etc)
