Definitely although you must remember tech is in a artificial bubble so it could temporarily drop then dead cat bounce back up because they do offer a good product

I agree about the ETFs too but I read that AAPL was once a penny stock too. I did some research on a few penny stocks and some are billion dollar companies which surprised me. I want to do both and if I get a winner and have 20k or more in shares then I can retire lbs.

Both are good, it depends on your strategy. Dividends are not guaranteed. The companies decide to give them or not depending on their earnings. I typically reinvest dividends to take advantage of compound interest. Take a look at May 2 stock club starting at min 12, AD goes into more detail about dividends and stock buy backs. I hope this helps!
