Something that jumped right out at me, a former Marine, was how much lighter the aircraft version than the infantry version that we had to muscle around was/is. Ours were about 100 pounds, plus a tripod, spare barrels, ammunition... Each .50 BMG round weighs 1/10th of a pound. That weight adds up, quickly!
