Here is the tutorial for painting my Zoanthrope. This tutorial combines the Tyranids skin tutorial with the bloody white shell tutorial .

The super glue acts as a protective layer. If you don't use super glue, when you apply the isopropyl alcohol, it will remove all the paint. But with super glue, it protects the layer underneath. And secondly, since it's thick, it will create a 3D texture effect when you use several layers for the veins! If you apply a coat of varnish, the alcohol will dissolve it too! And if you let the paint dry thoroughly before applying the super glue, there will be no problems. 😁

Just guessing here. I think the layer of super glue will not react, or come off when applying the isopropyl alcohol. Plus the super glue, dependong on it's set time, will leave some texturing for the veins/skin.

Hi, why Super Glue and UV resin specifically, why not varnish or PVA? Also does Super Glue not leave grey residue whilst drying?
