Big fan of this movie, the twist was a real good one and I really felt for all of these chars and situation It's funny you mentioned wanting to see a dark sky, I just recently got interested in that. If you search darksky maps you can find places that are dark, maybe even dark like a real rural location, and it might be closer than you thought without having to go super far. It's pretty cool.

I think you’ve said you’d watched “Weathering With You (Tenki No Ko),” but I’m not sure. Taki and Mitsuha both have cameos as it was Shinkai’s next release after Kimi No Na Wa.

Same! Also from Germany and I went to watch the movie in cinemas with a few friends of mine... One of my most memorable cinema experiences for sure, everybody in the room loved it!

"Insane story about time-travelling, body-switching teenagers emotionally breaks grown woman. Details at 11" Don't worry, you're not alone on that one. Everything about this movie just tries it's best to break you, and it's really damn good at it. And in terms of not knowing how the movie makes you feel at times, I've seen it dozens of times, and I still just resort to throwing out various emotion names and hoping I'm getting somewhere close. Amazing movie. Amazing reaction.

Grave of the Fireflys is an amazing and horrible story of a family in WW2 Japan. It is not uplifting. It is not happy. It is about the misery war beyond the front lines. It is a movie to watch when you are intentionally going to watch it. Never watch it casually. It is cruel and heartbreaking in the real world sense. As a result, ill always vote for something else for you to watch.

Totally understandable. I must second the recomendation to check out the rest of Makoto Shinkai's Filmography if you enjoyed 君の名は (Your Name), especially since you seemed to appreciate the beautiful animation, especially backgrounds, which is what Makoto Shinkai is known for.

Well you are lucky because this month (18. Septembre) will the Movie be available to buy digitally. I preordered the beautiful collectors edition of the blu ray! It comes in a beautiful Box, including the Soundtrack, an Art book, 4 Cards and of course the movie on blu ray! Cant wait to see this masterpiece again! :-) I hope so much Vicky will watch it as well here with us!!! :-)

I was lucky enough to attend one of the very few sreenings in a german cinema at the time. I will never forget the visceral reaction of everyone in the room when she opened her hand and the subtitles "I love you" appeared. I love this movie and I am glad you enjoyed it so much :)

I usually do that on YouTube as my computer takes a while (couple hours) to render videos! So until I upgrade my graphics card its not feasible :/ thank you for understanding and as soon as I get enough money to upgrade it, your guys experience will get much better❤
